This award-winning museum is located in part of a fifteenth century timber-framed hall house in the centre of Old Amersham with a herb garden running down to the river. The museum features Amersham's history from archaeological finds to the town's more recent past. Children always welcome with many things to do and touch. Amersham Museum features exhibits related to Social History, Architecture, Personalities, Archives, Industry, Photography, Toys and Hobbies, Archaeology and Land Transport. In December the museum is only open on Saturday 7th, Sunday 8th, Saturday 14th, Sunday 15th December, 12 noon to 4.30pm. We are then closed until February 2020.
