Bollington Discovery Centre, located in a canalside mill, tells the story of the town's industrial development from small agricultural community to an important centre of the cotton industry. Visitors can search the database of the significant photographic archive to find historical images of the life and work of the people of the town and the stone buildings and streets which reflect the town's character. Temporary exhibitions, often using the archive, cover social, industrial and environmental topics as well celebrating anniversaries of events in the past.
