Fort Brockhurst is one of five forts known as the Gosport Advanced Lines, built to defend Portsmouth Harbour from a flanking attack by the French. Fort Brockhurst features exhibits related to: weapons and war, social history, archives, archaeology and architecture. Key themes, people and exhibits in the museum include: bishop's waltham palace, royal garrison church, portchester castle, northington grange, sheerness dockyard, pevensey castle and wolvesey palace.
Interior: 11am-3pm, every 2nd Sat of month May to Sep, plus 7 & 8 Dec.
Exterior: Any reasonable daylight hours.
