Are you ready for take-off? The UK is go for launch!
As part of our Destination Space programme, this summer holiday we will be blasting off from the UK, thanks to some brand-new Spaceports.

With the UK government announcing a new spaceport in the north of Scotland, and Cornwall partnering with Virgin Orbit to launch small satellites from its airport, we could see the first launches from the UK as early as 2021.

Join us as we find out what this means for the UK space industry and when you can see a live launch in action. Included in your first visit is access to the exhibition, a Planetarium show and lot of additional talks, activities and workshops.

• Activities Include •

• This IS Rocket Science!
Join our Discovery team for an explosive show to discover how rockets will launch from the UK. We’ll take you on a mission to see what will be launched and how we will make it go with a (very safe) bang!

• Spaceports in the UK
Where would YOU build a spaceport? Discover the locations for future space ports in the UK, why they are being developed and potentially when you can see the very first live launch.

• Satellite in my Pocket
Find out how a tiny pocket satellite works and how these tiny 250g cubes of electronics help universities worldwide to perform space science and exploration.

• Planetarium Show
When you buy a ticket to the National Space Centre you will also be able to see one of our award-winning planetarium shows at no extra cost.

If you are visiting with an Annual Pass, you can buy a show for £3 per person (subject to availability) when booking in advance (essential for all Annual Pass visits).

• CAPCOM GO!
An immersive fulldome show celebrating the Apollo Space programme. Take a seat in the UKs largest Planetarium to see our latest award-winning show.

CAPCOM GO! showcases the achievements of the Apollo program and what it took to put the first human on the Moon.
