The Cologne zoo (Cologne Zoological Garden) is a zoo in Cologne that was founded in 1860. The zoo is home to more than 10,000 animals of over 850 different species. The Cologne Zoo with its attached aquarium and invertebrate exhibit is active in various endangered species programmes. The zoo's highlights include a free-flight rainforest hall, a primate house, and an elephant park.
