MAXXI (Museo nazionale delle arti del XXI secolo), the National Museum of the 21st Century Arts is a museum in Rome. The museum is housed in a building that was designed by Zaha Hadid and opened in 2010. In the same year it received the Stirling Prize from the Royal Institute of British Architects. The permanent collections of the MAXXI - National Museum of the 21st Century Arts includes works by, among other, Alighiero Boetti, Grazia Toderi, William Kentridge, Kara Walker, Ed Ruscha, Gilbert & George, Gino De Dominicis, Michael Raedecker, Anish Kapoor, Gerhard Richter, Francesco Clemente.
