The National Museum of Lithuania is housed in the New Arsenal. It is the main exhibition venue of the National Museum of Lithuania. The museum focuses on the history of Lithuania from its formation until the 20th century and its culture. The Vilnius Museum of Antiquities is located in the first hall. The second hall features an exhibition on the history of early Lithuania from the 13th century to its decline in 1795, and the social development of the Lithuanian state. The next exhibition presents the nineteenth-century history of Lithuania, focusing on the occupied country. Other halls contain exhibits related to Lithuanian ethnic culture.
