The Museum of Fine Arts of Seville is is an art museum in Seville that is considered one of the most important art museums in Spain. The museum holds a collection of mainly Spanish visual arts from the medieval period to the early 20th century, and is especially known for its baroque Sevillian paintings, especially with works by Zurbarán, Murillo and Valdés Leal, as well as 19th century Andalusian painting. The building that houses the museum was originally home to the convent of the Order of the Merced Calzada de la Asunción.
