Turtles are among the oldest animals on earth. Hundreds of living turtles are housed within the Turtle Center. There is also a permanent exhibition on the first floor. This exhibition completes the educational aspect of the center. In display cases you can see stuffed species of turtles, but also items that have been confiscated by customs among returning holidaymakers. This mostly concerns objects made from endangered species of turtles. Examples are a hair comb, a banjo and a candle stand. After viewing turtles and exhibition, children can do an educational treasure hunt (only in Dutch)
