The collection consists of artworks, utensils, films, music and photos. The visitor travels through the world and through time. The museum covers both current traditions and the history of world cultures. The collection consists of more than 340,000 objects.

Bijzonder mooi museum : historie , cultuur en kunst onder een dak .
De tentoonstellingen zijn zeer interessant : de tentoonstelling over de slavernij, de fantastische kunst uit Indonesië en Nieuw Guinea , het koloniale verleden met schitterende vormgegeven persoonlijke verhalen , Afrikaanse mode, body art.
Je wordt hier meegenomen naar het verleden , heden en toekomst hopelijk zonder racisme .

Erg fijn en groot museum met een collectie objecten voornamelijk uit het koloniale verleden van Nederland. Erg leuk voor een dagtrip met de kinderen die ook kunnen vertoeven in het Tropenmuseum Junior.
