Museum Hert fan Fryslan is housed in the monumental town hall of Idaarderadeel. It is dedicated to the history of central Friesland. The museum features a historical presentation on the eighteen villages of the municipality Boarnsterhim. Work and life of the Bruorren Halbertsma, their influence on the Frisian language and economy of Grou are illustrated. The collection includes gold and silver objects, textiles and porcelain. In addition, there are changing exhibitions.
