Exhibition 'ABSUMO / Geert Nys' in Muze’um L - Light, Landscape & Line
In 2020, visual artist Geert Nys discovered an unknown butterfly species in d'Hellicht, on the
border of Rotselaar and Werchter. He calls her 'ABSUMO': ABSolutely Unique MOment.
He also takes the name as an artist himself. Since then, absumos have been spotted in more than
500 places all over the world: Paris, New York, Milan, Tokyo, Dubai, Buenos Aires, São Paulo...
and recently also in Roeselare.
