Exhibition 'Brooks Building - Military Vehicles' in Estrella Warbird Museum, Inc.

The restoration of military vehicles was not part of the original plan to establish an aviation museum at Paso Robles. Early on in our development, it was necesary to obtain a tug to move aircraft around. Around 2006-2007, aircraft were not readily available for donation to the museum and we had a group in the restoration garage that rather than stand around between restoration projects, took on the task of rebuilding a donated jeep. The end result was phenemonal! By 2009, more military vehicles had been donated and hangar space for vehicles was scarce so we broke ground on what is now the "Brooks Building," which was designed primarily to house restored military vehicles. And, my, how we've grown since then!

Many of the vehicles were received in extremely rough shape and have gone through a frame up restoration. The vehicle restoration garage has long been staffed by volunteers. We are ever so grateful to the many talanted people that have crossed our tarmack and assisted in one or many projects. Many volunteers have come with a desire, but not all the skills. This stopped no one as so many have stepped up and taught and nurtured individuals along, whom have assisted in the amazing restoration of many vehicles.
