Exhibition 'Dolf Henkes Prize 2023' in TENT Rotterdam
Artists Ada M. Patterson, Babette Kleijn, Samboleap Tol, Yoeri Guépin, Bik van der Pol (duo Liesbeth Bik and Jos van der Pol), Bert Frings, Dirk van Lieshout and Maike Hemmers are the nominees for the anniversary edition of the Dolf Henkes Prize. The Rotterdam art prize will be awarded for the tenth time this year.
A distinctive aspect of this edition is the selection procedure: the winners of previous years were all invited to nominate a fellow artist. This means that instead of the usual four contenders, eight artists will present their work at TENT Rotterdam in the run-up to the award in November 2023. The nominees have a chance to win a prize of €12,000.
On Friday September 8, the corresponding exhibition will open at TENT Rotterdam. Here, all nominees will be given space to present their work. The exhibition runs until January 7, 2024.
