Exhibition 'Herefordshire in the Great War' in Hereford Museum and Art Gallery

The exhibition, which is part of Weeping Windows and the commemoration of the end of World War 1, focuses on Herefordshire’s part in the First World War, particularly the Rotherwas Munitions factory, the importance of agriculture and the effect of war at home. Individual stories will highlight the true impact of war on families, the county and the nation. Objects, photographs and stories are from Herefordshire Museum, Libraries, Archives, ROI project and local people. This exhibition was first put up in 2014 to mark the centenary of the start of the War.
This exhibition will feature Brian Hatton's emotive expression of war - 'Civilization' as well as his sketch for it.
