How do we organize the world around us? And more importantly: what does that do to us?
I AM NOT AN ORACLE, curated by Ine Gevers, is an interactive journey through art installations that reflect on the major systems structuring our existence – identity, biology, economy, colonialism, climate, technology, religion, and politics.
I AM NOT AN ORACLE won’t present you with “the truth,” but instead invites you to question these grand systems – and your own assumptions – through artworks that act as playful, sometimes confronting mirrors. Visitors move through the exhibition like players in a game, with each installation offering its own perspective and challenging you to look at the world – and yourself – with fresh eyes.
At times stimulating, at times liberating, the exhibition aims to spark critical thinking and creativity. It reveals how deeply systems shape our sense of self, and how we might regain agency over them. By the time you leave, you won’t be quite the same person you were when you entered.
