Exhibition 'Loch Doon Spitfire' in Dumfries and Galloway Aviation Museum

Our Spitfire Mk 2 was recovered from Loch Doon with assistance from Dumfries and Galloway Diving Club and has been fully restored to display standard.
This exhibit tells the story of the Spitfire, its pilots, its loss and the subsequent work to bring it back to display for the public to enjoy.
