Exhibition 'Retro-Active' in Maidstone Museum and Bentlif Art Gallery
Retro-active is an exciting new show presenting a dialogue between the work of groupsixtysix – six friends and artists – all graduates of Medway College of Art in 1966 – who developed their practice in those early days of blossoming youth culture, civil rights, World Cup victory and optimism.
Following successful and fulfilling careers in television, publishing, design and graphics, the collective have all retired and are pursuing their own fine art interests. It is this that has brought them back together, enhanced their friendship, enabled sharing and cross-referencing of ideas and mediums and provided many opportunities for helpless laughter.
