Exhibition 'ROUND FEET' in International Wooden Shoe Museum
The International Clog Museum in Eelde owns wooden footwear, clogs, wooden-soled footwear and slippers from 45 countries around the world. This year we are exhibiting beautiful designs by seven students from an Israeli Academy of Art, complemented by uniquely carved wooden footwear from our own collections. You will see, for example, fine specimens of wooden footwear from the French collection, which the Clog Museum acquired in 2009.
Last year, kabkabs were donated, which are models that trace back to the bathhouses in the Ottoman Empire. If anything becomes clear in this Clog Museum, it is that wooden footwear belongs to all times and all over the world. Cultural Heritage from the Netherlands and from all over the world can be admired on a tour of the museum. The world is at your feet.
