Exhibition 'Rubyfruit Jungle' in Marres, House for Contemporary Culture
The versatile Argentine artist Celina Eceiza transforms Marres into an immersive, tactile environment that unfolds like a pleasure garden filled with textile wonders. She draws and paints on vast lengths of fabric, adding images through painting, writing, and embroidery. Her works are often populated with references to artworks and artists she admires, titles and quotations that matter to her, alongside large bodies, kissing couples, imaginary creatures, and oversized flowers. The result is a house filled with sensual, warm, and vibrant environments where visitors can find peace and inspiration in an alternative universe that invites exploration through all the senses.
Alongside the exhibition, there will be a series of workshops and a public program.
