Exhibition 'Tamara Muller - Uit de klei' in De Fraeylemaborg
Born in Wehe-den Hoorn (Groningen) in 1975, Tamara Muller lives and works in Breda. 'The game of life' is a key theme of her work. Her paintings have been shown recently in solo exhibitions at Galerie Bart Amsterdam (2023), Drents Museum (2021) and the Gasunie Groningen (2019).
Muller is exploring a new direction in her work. As Artist in Residence at Studio Drents Museum (Drents Museum Assen) and at Van Gogh Air (Vincent van Gogh Huis Zundert), she has been able to experiment with a different visual language. The emerging themes focus around trauma, grief and healing.
This exhibition finds Muller in the middle of this process of change. The light and dark of her youth play an important role in this show, as does the wide, open landscape of Groningen.
