Exhibition 'The Middle Ages experienced with All Senses' in Burgmuseum Parsberg

How does it feel to wear the helmet of a knight's armor, use medieval cooking utensils, make fabric from sisal fibers, or sit on a medieval toilet? These and many more experiences can currently be had at the Parsberg Castle Museum. The exhibition allows visitors to experience history with all their senses: touch, lift, see, feel, smell, hear, and even taste. This unique exhibition, a collaboration between the Vohburg Museum and the Parsberg Castle Museum, offers your students the opportunity to experience the history of the Middle Ages up close.

Interactive Experiences: Try on a knight's helmet, use medieval cooking utensils, make fabric from sisal fibers, or try your hand at Carolingian minuscule with a quill at the writing desk.
Hands-on History: Touch, lift, see, feel, smell, hear, and even taste – the exhibition allows you to experience the Middle Ages with all your senses.
Everyday Life in the Middle Ages: Learn how hard life was back then by shouldering a wooden backpack or minting a coin with a sledgehammer.
Sensory Impressions: Discover herbs and spices imported into medieval Europe and learn the origins of sayings like "süßholz raspeln" (to sweet-talk) and "geh doch dahin, wo der Pfeffer wächst" (go to where the pepper grows).
