Exhibition 'Typically Dutch- from tulip to telescope' in Cultuurhistorisch streek- en handkarrenmuseum De Wemme

Windmills, tulips and Delft Blue: three things that many people see as typically Dutch, just like gin and a barrel organ.
The Dutchman wears clogs, eats stew and stroopwafels and drives a Daf. And oh yes, everyone plays korfball there and wears orange clothing. But is that all true?
In this exhibition we provide an image of the Netherlands through objects that are assumed to be truly Dutch. We unravel these ideas and show how it really works.
We take you through all kinds of inventions that have been made by the Dutch over the centuries.
And of course we have some really typical Dutch handcarts to show you.

We hope to see you.
