Exhibition 'Water Works - Pipes, hydrants and fire hose in firefighting' in Fire Hall Museum & Education Centre

The towns of Galt, Preston and Hespeler benefited from water sources such as the Grand and Speed Rivers, creeks, and streams – giving them a ready source of water to fight fires. As the towns’ populations grew, public water collection and distribution systems developed, offering reliable sources of water to help fire departments combat fire. The Fire Hall Museum’s new exhibit explores water distribution throughout the community and how firefighters use water to battle fires. Admission is Free.
