20 Forthlin Road is the house in which Paul McCartney lived before he rose to fame with the Beatles. It was his home from 1955 to 1963 and is the site at which the Beatles wrote and rehearsed their early songs. 20 Forthlin Road is a typical example of post-war terraced council housing and has been restored to its appearance during that period, with additional displays of Beatles memorabilia and evocative photographs.
