The Aquarium of Genoa (Acquario di Genova) is the largest aquarium in Italy. The 3,100 sqm aquarium that includes 70 tanks containing a total of 6,000,000 liters is located in the old harbor area of Genoa. The tanks reproduce the habitat of numerous fish and reptiles. Highlights in the aquarium are the three large saltwater basins with dolphins, sharks, seals and turtles in addition to a variety of smaller fish. An extension of the aquarium consists of a ship's hull connected to the main building with open basins that simulate rainforest and freshwater biotopes. In this part of the aquarium it is also possible to touch some of the fish.

The Acquario di Genova, located in Genoa, Italy, is a popular aquarium that offers visitors an immersive experience into marine life. Many visitors appreciate the wide variety of sea creatures on display, including dolphins, sharks, and colorful tropical fish. The aquarium's layout allows for easy navigation, and the tanks are generally well-maintained and clean.

Visitors often comment positively on the educational aspects of the aquarium, with informative displays and opportunities to learn about marine conservation. The touch pools and interactive exhibits are particularly popular among families with children.

However, some visitors note that the aquarium can get crowded, especially during peak seasons, which may impact the overall experience. A few reviewers mention that some areas could benefit from updates or renovations. The ticket prices are considered somewhat high by some, though many feel the experience justifies the cost.

The location of the aquarium in Genoa's Porto Antico (Old Port) area is often praised, as it allows visitors to combine their visit with exploring other attractions in the historic part of the city.

Overall, the Acquario di Genova is generally well-regarded for its diverse marine life exhibits and educational value, despite occasional crowding and the need for some updates in certain areas.
