Closure of Alfa Planetarium
After 42 years of operation, the Alfa Planetarium closed its doors permanently on the 4th of September 2020. The closure was due to a lack of investment in necessary upgrades and a reduction in revenue caused by sanitary measures implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Visitor Statistics and Exhibitions of Alfa Planetarium
Throughout its operation, the Alfa Planetarium welcomed over 14 million visitors and housed over 500 pieces in its permanent exhibitions. This indicates the significant cultural impact and popularity of the planetarium among locals and tourists alike.
