The Anta de Agualva, also referred to as the Anta do Carrascal, is a megalithic dolmen situated in the urban area of Agualva-Cacém, within the municipality of Sintra, in the Lisbon District of Portugal. This historical monument is easily accessible and offers a unique glimpse into the past.
The Anta de Agualva is believed to consist of a polygonal chamber measuring 3.7 × 3.8 meters, formed by seven vertical stones, known as orthostats, along with an access corridor. This structure provides a fascinating insight into the architectural practices of the Neolithic period.
In 2004, a park named 'Jardim da Anta' (Garden of the Anta) was inaugurated, with the dolmen being a central part of the landscaping. This integration of the monument into a park setting provides a pleasant environment for visitors to explore and appreciate the dolmen.
