Downing Children's Garden

In July 2011, Botanica opened the Downing Children's Garden, which features several themed areas. These include the monster woods, salamander stream, granddaddy's musical maze, a rainbow and sunflower fountain, and a plaza. This garden provides a fun and educational experience for children visiting Botanica.

Events Center at Botanica

In 2014, Botanica opened a new events center that can accommodate up to 299 people seated or 240 at tables. The design of the center was inspired by the wood-and-glass Thorncrown Chapel in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. This space can be used for various events and gatherings.

Carousel at Downing Children's Garden

In May 2014, it was announced that a 1949 Allan Herschell Company carousel from the former Joyland Amusement Park was donated to Botanica. This carousel has been placed in the Downing Children's Garden, adding a touch of whimsy and nostalgia to the garden's attractions.
