We visited bressingham steam museum Saturday 3rd December for my sons visit to see Father Christmas. As this was the only chance to for us to do something together before Christmas and we had been a few years previous we thought this would be a safe bet. We took the hour drive to the steam museum and arrived 10 minutes prior to out scheduled entry time so we entered the steam museum 5 minutes early as prompted on the booking instructions. We were told to head straight to santas grotto where we waited approximately 40 minutes to see him. We headed straight from there to the gallopers and from there straight to the main steam train where we were asked if we wanted to go on the garden train after and if so we would need to go straight after. After a further conversation with the gentleman as to what time they closed he agreed that we would be able to get a quick hot chocolate each before the garden train. We headed straight to the cafe which was closing but accommodated our drink order to take away. We proceeded to head straight to the garden train and waited on the slope as directed by the gentleman. When the garden train arrived back the passengers disembarked and the 3 men running the service were having a conversation to which I overheard one say it’s not worth it for 2 passengers, one of the men came over and said sorry this service has now finished that was the last one. We went to see the gentleman who directed us to the train and told him they had denied us our trip he took us to the office to see the manager, but no resolve. By this point our evening had been ruined, the whole experience was very rushed we didn’t have time any time to look around or to see any other attractions or even to do the toasted marshmallows. We were offered tickets to come back another time but these were not given. this was our only Christmas visit this year which has been ruined and to top it off this will probably be the last year my son believes in Father Christmas. We will not be returning here again!!!.
