The Bribie Island Seaside Museum, located at 1 South Esplanade, Bongaree, on the Pumicestone Passage side of Bribie Island, opened its doors to the public on 14 May 2010. The museum is situated in the City of Moreton Bay in Queensland, Australia, and offers visitors a chance to delve into the rich history and culture of the region.
Upon its opening, the Bribie Island Seaside Museum presented three permanent exhibits. These include the Matthew Flinders 1799 expedition, the life and art of Ian Fairweather, and the story of Bribie Fish and Fishing. The latter features a fish collection from the early 1900s, courtesy of the Amateur Fishermen's Association of Queensland Inc.
