A visit to the Northgate Museum enables you to discover the history of the town and the local area. From an Edwardian cash till, to a model of Trevithick's Steam Engine, the exhibits are a varied collection. The Northgate Museum features exhibits related to: archives, fine art, social history, land transport, archaeology and coins and medals. Exhibits in the museum include: the Trevithick model engine, a 12th century gold ring, clay pipes, a mangle, a lanthorn, a hand loom, a Severn coracle, and some early clocks and pocket watches. Most of the exhibits were sourced locally.

The Museum is open on Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday afternoons, from Easter until the end of October. We are closed during the Winter months, but you can always contact us through our website.
