The restoration of the Bursledon Windmill was a significant undertaking carried out by the Hampshire Buildings Preservation Trust between 1978 and 1991. The sails were replaced in 1990, and the mill was opened to the public in May 1991. This restoration work has ensured that the windmill can be enjoyed by visitors for years to come.

Visitors can explore the Bursledon Windmill from 11:00 to 16:00 on Sundays. Additionally, the windmill is open by appointment on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
