The Casa del Arte José Clemente Orozco, also known as the Casa del Arte or Pinacoteco, is a Chilean art museum located on the campus of the University of Concepción, in Concepción. It is situated on the corner of Chacabuco and Larenas, facing the Plaza Perú. The gallery attracts approximately 75,000 visitors a year and houses the country's largest collection of paintings outside the capital city of Santiago, and the most complete collection of Chilean art with some 1,800 works.
One of the main features of the museum is the mural Presencia de América Latina (1964) by the Mexican artist Jorge González Camarena, which is in the entrance hall. This mural is a significant piece of art that adds to the cultural richness of the museum.
The art displays at the Casa del Arte contain the largest collection of Chilean artists during the period from the 19th to the 20th centuries. The collections also include works by foreign artists. This wide range of art pieces provides visitors with a comprehensive understanding of Chilean art history and its influences.
