The museum serves as a documentation center for settlements and the conservation of urban and architectural traditions of smaller centers, with a special focus on Tuscia. It has gradually expanded to include various thematic areas related to local construction techniques, traditional crafts, and folklore.
Since 2008, the museum has opened the Cantina, a subterranean museum space where a nineteenth-century cellar has been reconstructed. This area displays all objects related to the wine cycle, providing a unique insight into the region's wine production history.
The museum has been permanently open to the public since February 14, 2009, thanks to a dedicated space for the organic olive and wine company Villa Chiarini Wulf. This partnership ensures the museum's accessibility and usability for visitors.
