The Codington County Heritage Museum, previously known as the Kampeska Heritage Museum, is situated at 27 First Avenue Southeast, Watertown, South Dakota. The museum is housed in the historic Carnegie Free Public Library building, which adds to its charm and historical significance.

Historical Significance of the Carnegie Library

The Carnegie Library, which now houses the Codington County Heritage Museum, was constructed in 1906 with the help of a grant from the Carnegie Foundation. The building served as a library until 1967, adding a layer of historical significance to the museum.
