Crisp Point Light is a privately owned lighthouse situated on Lake Superior. It is located on the upper peninsula of Michigan, nestled between Munising and Whitefish Point in Luce County. This unique location offers visitors a chance to explore the rich history and natural beauty of the area.

History of the Lighthouse

The establishment of the lighthouse dates back to 1896 when it was first proposed, but it was only approved in June 1902. It was equipped with a fourth-order red Fresnel lens from Sautter and Lemonnier of Paris, adding a touch of international influence to its construction.

Renovations and Visitor Center

In the mid-2010s, the lighthouse underwent significant renovations. A visitor center was constructed next to the parking lot, providing amenities such as restrooms, a small shop, and a small museum.
