The Simon E. Dow House, also known as the Dow House, is a historic house situated on Prince Street in Dow City, Iowa. This two-story, 13-room, red brick house holds a significant place in the history of Dow City. It was built in 1872 by Simon E. Dow, who co-founded Dow City in 1869 and later became one of its leading businessmen.
In 1970, the Dow House was purchased by the Crawford County Conservation Board. The board undertook the task of restoring the house to its former glory. Today, the Dow House is open for public tours, allowing visitors to step back in time and experience a piece of Dow City's history.
