The Temple of the Seven Dolls is the most renowned structure at Dzibilchaltún. It was named after the discovery of seven small effigies at the site when archaeologists uncovered the temple under the ruins of a later temple pyramid in the 1950s. This temple provides a fascinating insight into the religious practices and architectural prowess of the ancient Maya civilization.
The Dzibilchaltun archaeological site is equipped with a visitor center that provides maps, restrooms, and gift shops. Guides are available and can be hired for tours of the site. The site also features a renovated museum that houses Mayan artifacts. Please note that the museum is closed on Mondays.
