The Edward Douglass White House, also known as Edward Douglass White Louisiana State Commemorative Area, is a state historic site located near Thibodaux, Louisiana. This site is significant as it was the home of Edward Douglass White, Sr., the tenth governor of Louisiana, and his son, Edward Douglass White, a U.S. senator and a Chief Justice of the United States.

Exhibits at the E. D. White Historic Site

The Edward Douglass White House is owned by the Louisiana State Museum and operates as a historic house museum known as the E. D. White Historic Site. Inside the house, there is an exhibit that showcases the history of the Bayou Lafourche area. The exhibit features information about the Chitimacha Indians, Acadian settlers, slavery, sugar cane plantations, and the White family.
