The East Hawaii Cultural Center (EHCC) is a cultural hub situated in Hilo on the island of Hawaii. Established in 1967, the center is managed by the East Hawaii Cultural Council, an umbrella organization of local art associations. The EHCC is dedicated to showcasing both traditional and contemporary local art and culture.
The EHCC boasts three galleries that display local, national, and international art. Additionally, it features a stage area with seating for over 100 people, an art studio, and a dance floor. During the summer, performances by the Hilo Community Players are held on the building's balcony.
The EHCC is not only a venue for art and culture but also hosts and sponsors various exhibitions and events. One of the notable events is the annual Big Island Slack Key Guitar Festival, which has been held since 1989.
