The Eisenbahnmuseum Würzburg is a railway museum located in Würzburg, Germany. It is managed by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Eisenbahngeschichte (DGEG), a German society for railway history. The museum offers a unique insight into the history and development of the German railway system.
The Eisenbahnmuseum Würzburg is situated at the Würzburg-Zell station. One of the main attractions of the museum is the 1943-built freight train steam locomotive 52 7409 of the series 52. The museum organizes public rides and special rides on request with this historic locomotive, providing a unique experience for railway enthusiasts.
Since 2002, the museum has housed the V 100 1200, a former Würzburg diesel locomotive. After undergoing reconditioning, this locomotive was put back into operation in 2009. It is another highlight of the museum's collection, showcasing the evolution of railway technology over the years.
