Evje og Hornnes geomuseum Fennefoss is a museum located in Fennefoss, Agder county. It was established in 1975 by local enthusiasts, including Sigmund Monen and Alf Georg Kjetså. The museum initially started as a local museum, but over time, the geological collections that were gradually acquired became increasingly important.
The museum's mineral collection is quite extensive, containing about 5600 specimens as of 2021. Most of the collection consists of Norwegian samples, and a large number of the samples come from mines in the Evje-Iveland area. This collection provides a comprehensive overview of the geological richness of the region.
In addition to the main building that houses the various collections, the museum area consists of seven other old buildings from the 17th and 18th centuries. These include two stave houses, a sauna, a smokehouse, a mill house, a smithy, and a building that houses both a barn, a hayloft, and a stable. These buildings provide a unique insight into the architectural history of the region.
