Fjellerup Østergaard, also known as Østergaard, is a farm located in the quaint village of Fjellerup, in the Norddjurs municipality on Norddjursland. It currently operates under the larger Meilgaard estate, but it has a rich history as an independent manor. This gives visitors a unique insight into the agricultural and manorial history of the region.
The buildings on Fjellerup Østergaard are notable for their excellent preservation. Recognizing their historical value, the National Museum acquired them in several stages to move them to the Open Air Museum. The main building was transferred in 1995 and was completed in 2003. This offers tourists a chance to see a well-preserved example of traditional Danish architecture and farming structures.
