The Mechelen Toy Museum displays toys from around the world, and from all times. Among others, the museum shows an ancient Greek doll in terracotta, a priest set from 1920 to play priest, electro from 1950, the Battle of Waterloo with 8,000 miniature soldiers, the predecessors of Lego and a Märklin train table with moving trains. Through the toys, visitors get to know various cultures. The visitor can also ‘enter’ the painting The children's games by Pieter Bruegel. It is a 3D painting in which children can play with 16th century toys.
