Galleria Civica d'Arte Moderna has 2 ratings.

The Galleria Civica d'Arte Moderna in Milan, Italy, offers visitors a comprehensive look at 19th and 20th-century Italian art. The museum houses an extensive collection of paintings and sculptures from various artistic movements, including Futurism and Novecento.

Visitors often appreciate the museum's well-curated exhibits and the opportunity to explore lesser-known Italian artists alongside more famous names. The gallery's chronological arrangement allows for a clear understanding of the evolution of modern Italian art.

However, some reviewers note that the museum's layout can be confusing at times, and signage could be improved to enhance the visitor experience. Additionally, while the collection is impressive, it may not be as extensive as some of Italy's more prominent art museums.

The building itself, a restored 18th-century palace, adds to the charm of the visit, although some areas may benefit from renovation. The museum's location in the heart of Milan is convenient for tourists exploring the city.

Overall, the Galleria Civica d'Arte Moderna provides an informative and enjoyable experience for those interested in Italian modern art, though it may not be a top priority for first-time visitors to Milan with limited time.

I appreciated its collection of late 18th Century,19th Century, and very early 20th Century Paintings primarily by Italian Painters.I was unable to see their French Impressionist and Post Impressionist French works of Art,because the second floor was closed for renovation.Italian Painters with fine paintings included; Andrea Appiani("Queen Elizabeth of Hu ngary Assisting The Poor"),Gaspare Landi("Jacob Asks Laban For Rachel's Hand in Marriage"),Francesco Hayez("Mary Magdalene"),Guisseppe Bisi("High View of Genoa"),Andreas Aschenbach(German Painter,"Marina Under Stormy Sky"),Gaetano Previati("Our Lady of Chrysanthenums"),Guisseppe Palizza de Volpedo'(Fourth Estate"),Eleutterio Pagliani("Death of Tintoretto's Daughter"),Enrico Gamba("Jan Hus in Jail"),Moses Bianchi("Cleopatra"),Giovanni Boldini("Blonde Bride"),Guisseppe de Nittis("Place de Piramides"),Federico Zandromeghi("Toilette"),Vittore Grubicy de Dragon("At The Tepid Spring"),Emilio Longoni("Glacier"),and Gino Severini("Love Goddess")("Landscape At Malata Mountain Pass"),among others. This less discovered Milan treasure is close to the Palestro Metro Station.
