Gåsemandens Gård, also known as Gåsemandens Hus, is a preserved, four-winged smallholder's farm that has remained almost unchanged since the late 19th century. It is located in Hemmet, a small town southwest of Skjern, near the Ringkøbing Fjord in West Jutland. This historical site offers a unique glimpse into the rural life of the past, making it a fascinating destination for those interested in history and culture.
After the death of Sigfred Christensen in 1990, who left no heirs, the Skjern-Egvad Museum informed the probate court that the entire property should be preserved in a museum context. This decision ensured the preservation of this historical site, allowing future generations to experience and learn about the rural life of the past.
