Carver High School (Full name George Washington Carver High School , formerly known as Phoenix Union Colored High School ) was a high school in Phoenix, Arizona , established for the benefit of African-American ("colored" under the terminology of the day). The school's building was the only one ever built exclusively to serve African American high school students in Arizona.
