The Ice Hockey Museum in Augsburg, also known as the Eishockeymuseum Hall of Fame Deutschland e.V., was a place where visitors could explore various exhibits of famous ice hockey players until 2014. The museum also runs the Hall of Fame Germany, which includes players, referees, coaches, officials, and journalists who have made significant contributions to the sport of ice hockey.
The Ice Hockey Museum in Augsburg found its permanent home in the city in 1999, after a period of time where its exhibits were displayed at various locations. This move allowed the museum to have a dedicated space to showcase its collection and to provide a more comprehensive experience for visitors.
The exhibition rooms of the Ice Hockey Museum in Augsburg, located in Schwimmschulstraße, were closed in 2012 and cleared in 2014. However, the Eishockeymuseum Hall of Fame Deutschland e.V. association still exists and continues to organize regular events. The association also strives to display exhibits from its collection in four display cases in the south foyer of the Curt-Frenzel-Stadium in Augsburg.
