The Giovanni Verga's House Museum (Casa Museo Giovanni Verga) in Catania is a literary museum in the birthplace of the Italian writer Giovanni Verga, a novelist and short story writer, best known for his depictions of life in his native Sicily, especially the short story "Cavalleria rusticana" and the novel I Malavoglia. The museum is located in the center of Catania, on the second floor of a palazzo where Verga spent his childhood and later spent many years with his family. The interior is still original. The museum displays copies of Vergas manuscripts, the originals are kept in the University Library of Catania.
